High-tech guru Rick Newman decided to try a new “trick” for
Halloween this year. He came up with spooky designs outside
his home at 699 NW 9th Ave., Boca Raton, and created a “dungeon”
inside. The homemade catacombs feature more than 20
animatronic characters, the full size “Lost
in Space” robot, “R2D2” from “Star Wars,” “Robby
the Robot”, a working 7-foot tall, 15,000-volt Jacob’s
ladder, an animated mad scientist, witches, goblins, lasers
and ground fog.
In photo,
Newman seems caught up in his own work.
