Prime-8 is a fast and agile gorilla robot that does everything from play laser tag to run with your kids down hallways. He explores his own surroundings or responds via a remote control.

The sight and sound sensors assist Prime-8's movement around obstacles and lets him respond to questions with grunts and growls and express his various temper. The motion detection sensors keep the Prime-8 on alert so that he can chase away intruders by firing small projectiles or rockets.
You command Prime-8 using the ergonomic remote control. You can test your skills on him in turbo mode or try one of his five action games. Prime-8 launches rubber darts at intruders when guarding your room and moves around the room and avoids obstacles in autonomous mode. The Prime-8 robot includes a remote controller, two launchers and two rubber darts. He can be your friend and your protector. He can change from a good gorilla to a mad gorilla that goes bananas. You can also play games with two or more Prime-8's at once.

According to it's inventor, the Prime-8 can run as fast as a small child which makes it ideal for getting kids to exercise as they can race against it.

The Prime-8 Robot gorilla was created by scientific experts from the Robotics Institute of Carnegie Mellon University.

As of 2009, Prime-8 is the fastest biped robot around. Prime-8 is guided by an array of sensors that allow him to respond to people and his environment. The internal sensors measure his orientation and lets him to right himself when he falls down.

                    The Prime-8 is made by
Bossa Nova Robotics
