Open Your Eye's & Your Mind "Our goal is to plant the seed
of learning by opening the eyes
and minds of children worldwide".

Our purpose is to help bring new technologies to the youth of America.

To achieve this Richard Newman has opened Science & Technology Centers at Schools, Scout Camps, Science Museums and Study Centers all across the country. There is never an admission fee or cover charge. He has also loaned out (Free of charge) his International International Space CollectionLife-Size Robots  and  All-Electric Vehicles to schools, museums, science expo's, libraries, and robotics competitions around the world.

HighTechScience.org is the brainchild of Richard Newman, who over 35 years ago founded High-Tech Productions, a privately owned company in Florida which is one of the leading tape & disk duplication businesses in the world. High-Tech Productions also distributes blank disks, video tapes, boxes and labels to government agencies, school systems, fortune 500 companies, the military, etc.

Richard Newman as a Jr. high & high school student won every school science fair and ultimately received 1st place in the NY State Science Fair.  He also received honors from the American Institute of the City of NY and a science award from NASA which has a piece of micro film attached taken on the Lunar surface by astronaut Alan Bean.

In the early 70's he was also a "kiddy" co-host" of a nationally broadcast science show called "Earth Lab" which was taped at CBS affiliate WBZ-TV in Boston. In 1971 Richard was chosen to exhibit one of his science projects at the Hall Of Science complex at the New York World's Fair/Flushing Meadow Park. Since then, Richard has sponsored and judged school science fairs in South Florida. He is a lifetime member of the Jack Kohler Campership Association and is an executive board member of several Boy Scout council's and has served on the executive board of directors for one of the largest Scouting councils in the world. In 2006 he was unanimously elected to serve on the Board of Directors of the South Florida Science Museum in West Palm Beach.

 New York Hall of Science-1971.

As a youngster, Richard was one project away from becoming an Eagle Scout, but did become an assistant Scoutmaster, a member of the Order of the Arrow and was a Den Chief for a Pack of Cub Scouts in Queens, New York.

In 1999 his company High-Tech Productions sponsored the first of many Science & Technology Centers. Since then Richard has opened over 20 centers across the United States, sponsored school science fairs, and also has hundreds of items on display at numerous museums and learning centers. One of the Science Centers is located in a middle school located on a Native American Indian Reservation and he also underwrote some of the costs associated with getting a school science project launched on the space shuttle. The science centers have all been equipped with TV's/VCR's/DVD players, multi-media computers, digital telescopes, weather forecasting systems, butterfly/insect exhibits, rock/mineral/fossil exhibits, educational software, video's, DVD's, displays and posters, Geiger counters, aquariums, and many other science, space & nature related items & displays.

Richard Newman has also amassed the World's Largest private  collection of authentic Flown Space Artifacts. The collection is so extensive that it is housed and exhibited at several science & space museums. Parts of the space collection have been highlighted on TV news programs, newspapers and magazines. In 2003-2004, the space collection was exhibited together with the IMAX film "Space Station 3D" at the Museum of Discovery in Fort Lauderdale. The space artifact collection is always loaned out Free of Charge.

Richard also owns several All-Electric Vehicles which were highlighted at the Department of Energy's ScienceFest 2004 conference which was held in Fort Lauderdale, Florida on May 2-4, 2004. The HighTechScience.org vehicles have also been seen in numerous movies, TV news programs, magazines and newspaper articles.

The company's state-of-the-art facility has it's own back-up electrical system. In 2004 it was hit by hurricanes Frances & Jeanne. Although the area had no electricity for 2 weeks, the studio ran 24 X 7 on it's own power generators and never closed. In 2005 hurricane Wilma devastated the area but High-Tech Productions never missed a beat or lost an order.

High-Tech Productions conducts Radiation Testing on Video's and DVD's. Because the U.S. Postal Service is now irradiating mail to counter any bio-terrorism threats, many companies and individuals have asked what effects if any this has on video tapes and data disc's/CD's/DVD's. Another concern was if there would be any residual radiation left on the tapes and/or packaging after the items were irradiated. High-Tech Productions in conjunction with Titan Scan Technologies, the company that irradiates the mail for the Postal Service, teamed up to conduct numerous tests on analog and digital video tapes as well as floppy disks , CD's & DVD's. The results were even covered by an NBC TV affiliate.
Click Here for the Results of the Radiation Testing.

High-Tech Productions has also done extensive theatrical design and production work for 100's of stars of Television, Broadway and the Silver Screen. From world renowned singers and comedians, to magicians and concert acts, Richard has worked with them all. He is also an expert in lighting, sound, video, special effects and stage management. Richard Newman / High-Tech Productions has designed and installed numerous multi-million dollar state-of-the-art lighting, sound and video systems in theaters, night clubs and disco's and Richard has personally worked on/produced over 5000 live stage shows and large concerts including the Woodstock Reunion concert in New York.
